Kentwood and Tahoma swish the competition | Hoops Roundup

All four local basketball squads came away Tuesday night with victories

Tuesday was a good night for local hoopsters, as both varsity sexes of Kentwood and Tahoma high schools left the courts victorious.

The Kentwood boys escaped Auburn Riverside with a 66-64 win, while the female Conquerors handled their Raven counterparts at home, 74-52.

The Tahoma girls similarly made winning look easy with a 59-17 home victory against Auburn. The boys edged the Trojans on the road, 67-63.

The Kentwood boys improved to 12-5 overall, 9-4 in conference and sit in third place. The girls hold a slight lead for second place in the division, with a 12-4 overall record, 10-3 in conference.

The Tahoma boys kept hold of second place in the division, with a record of 12-6 overall, 10-4 in conference. The girls are fourth in the division at 9-9 overall, 8-6 in conference.
