Kentridge runner breaks school’s two mile record at Shoreline Invitational | Track and field

Kentridge boys track and field team placed 10th out of 57 teams at the Shoreline Invitational this past weekend. Senior Talon Abernathy took sixth in the two mile with a time of nine minutes, 21.16 seconds, breaking his previous personal record by 23 seconds, as well as the school's two mile record.

Senior Talon Abernathy took sixth in the two mile with a time of nine minutes, 21.16 seconds, breaking his previous personal record by 23 seconds, as well as the school’s two mile record, according to the Chargers long distance coach, Ryan West.

Fellow senior Kaid Tipton took first in the 110 hurdles and third in the 300 hurdles, with times of 15.16 and 39.75 respectively.

Senior Reggie Collins took eighth in the 300 hurdles, crossing the finish line at 41.08.They will compete against Tahoma next on their home track on Wednesday.
