Kentlake’s Potts earns National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete of the Year honors

Senior shines on the field, in the classroom and in his community

Kentlake High School’s Hudson Potts, a standout dual-threat quarterback and free safety, is a National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete of the Year award winner.

Potts received the award May 2 at the Washington Athletic Club in downtown Seattle.

The award is annually given to an individual who has excels on the football field, in the classroom and is involved in community service and projects.

Potts, a 5-foot-9, 170-pound senior, was the Defensive Back of the Year in the North Puget Sound League Valley Division last year. He also earned first-team All-NPSL Valley honors at quarterback.

Potts led the Falcons to a 6-4 finish and a berth in the district playoffs.
