Kentlake graduate, Courtney Thompson, was named to the U.S. Olympic volleyball team.

Following her high school years, she played for the University of Washington.

She was the first female player at University of Washington to have her collegiate jersey retired.

In 2012 she lead the Olympic team to a silver medal. In 2014 her team won the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball World Championship.
