Boys swimming and diving post season begins tomorrow

The post season begins tomorrow with the SPSL League Championship meet.

The boys swimming post season begins tomorrow with the SPSL 4A League Championship meet that will be held at Rogers High School in Puyallup. Diving will begin at 10 a.m. and swimming will begin at 3 p.m.

Swimming tomorrow from Kentlake will be:

Clint Blackmore, 500 Freestyle

Patrick Knox, 200 Individual Medley

Jalen Koon, 100 Breastroke and 200 Individual Medley

Alexander Martinez, 500 Freestyle

Daniel Merlino, 100 Breaststroke

From Kentwood:

Nick Creasia, 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke

Cole Hendricks, 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke

Edward Quintos, 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke

Andrew Stone, 50 and 100 Freestyle

Dan Lalime, 50 and 100 Freestyle

Blake Rizzo, 100 Butterfly

Scott Miller, 500 Freestyle

Sean Sturtevant, 100 Breaststroke

Billy Thompson, 100 Breaststroke

Additionally, Loren Natario will compete in 1 meter diving.

From Tahoma High:

Coleman Blakely, Zachary Blakely, Alex Cranstoun, Tavares DeLeon, Collin Fewkes, Trevor Grinzel, Matthew Milburn, Dakota Nichols, Tyler Rinck, James Smith, Carter Stoddard, Paul Sweeney, Brennan Toomey and Ethan Wunschel.

The West Central District III Swimming and Diving Championships will be held Jan. 31 and Feb. 1-2 at Curtis Aquatic Center. Districts is the last chance for swimmers to qualify for the State meet.

Representing Kentlake at Districts will be:

Erik Fulmer, 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly

Jake Hagen, 200 Freestyle and 500 Freestyle

Quentin Knox, 100 Breaststroke

The team will also be entering all three relays – the 200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay.

Representing Kentwood will be:

Kevin Molloy, 200 Individual Medley and 100 Freestyle

Logan Stoick, 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly

Dane Turnbull, 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly

Brian Wright, 200 Individual Medley and 100 Backstroke

The team will also enter all three relays.

Representing Tahoma High will be:

Michael Cox, Mitchell Halbert and Stephen Shin. The team will also enter all three relays.

The WIAA 4A Boys Swimming and Diving State Championship meet will be held Feb. 15-16 at King County Aquatic Center.

Representing Kentlake will be Erik Fulmer, 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly.

Representing Tahoma High will be Michael Cox, Mitchell Halbert and Stephen Shin.
