Monday, September 8

King County Flood Control District Executive Committee – ***Special Meeting Time and Location***10 a.m., Horiuchi Conference Room, 12th floor, King County Courthouse

Executive Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full Board of Supervisors:

  • A resolution adopting objectives for Levels of Protection for the Green River System-Wide Improvement Framework.

Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

Councilmembers will proclaim the week beginning September 8, 2014 as Diaper Need Awareness Week in King County.

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

  • A motion relating to comprehensive planning; requesting the King County executive to initiate a comprehensive update of the West Hill Community Plan for consideration as part of the proposed amendment to the King County Comprehensive Plan in 2015 (Motion 2014-0376).

For introduction and referral:

  • An ordinance renewing for six months an existing moratorium on the establishment or location of medical marijuana dispensaries and collective gardens asserted to be or actually authorized under Chapter 181, Laws of Washington 2011, and chapter 69.51A RCW (Ordinance 2014-0380).
  • An ordinance adopting public transportation service reductions in the February 2015 scheduled service change (Ordinance 2014-0382).

 

Tuesday, September 9

Government Accountability and Oversight Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance relating to for hire transportation, including taxicabs, for hire vehicles, for hire drivers and transportation network companies (Ordinance 2014-0187).

Briefings:

  • Georgetown Combined Sewer Overflow Project (Briefing 2014-B0152).
  • King County International Airport (Briefing No. 2014-B0140).

 

Law, Justice and Health and Human Services Committee – 1:30 p.m.

Briefings:

  • A briefing on Psychiatric Boarding and Prevention, Early Intervention, and Least Restrictive Alternatives for Individuals in Crisis (Briefing 2014‑B0153).
  • A briefing on the King County noise code (Briefing 2014-B0156).

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • A motion requesting that the executive utilize an existing task force convened to develop sustainable solutions to the psychiatric boarding crisis, to review and recommend short  and long term sustainable solutions for prevention, early intervention and least restrictive alternatives for individuals in mental health and substance abuse crisis (Motion 2014-0383).

Wednesday, September 10

Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 9:30 a.m. ***Special Meeting***

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance adopting public transportation service reductions in the February 2015 scheduled service change (Ordinance 2014-0382).

Briefing:

  • Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plan (Briefing 2014-B0151).

 

Regional Policy Committee – 3:00 p.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • A motion accepting the annual progress report on the implementation of the King County veterans and human services levy service improvement plan, as required by Ordinance 17200 (Motion 2014-0269).

  • International Trade and King County Businesses – the Economic Engine of Washington State (Briefing 2014-B0158).
