YWCA to offer free Spanish language financial education classes for victims and survivors of domestic violence

The YWCA is very excited to announce another series of our Spanish-language financial education classes, Esperanza y Poder para tus Finanzas Personales

The YWCA is very excited to announce another series of our Spanish-language financial education classes, Esperanza y Poder para tus Finanzas Personales!  We will be offering the FREE financial education classes for victims/survivors of domestic violence this fall, September 17th through November 19th 2013 in a confidential location in South King County.  Classes will be every Tuesday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Childcare will be provided on site and transportation assistance is available.  During the ten weeks, we will cover:

·         Financial Abuse and Safety Planning

·         Setting and Meeting Financial Goals

·         Basic Banking / Checking Accounts

·         Budgeting Your Money and How to Save on a Limited Income

·         How to Get and Read your Credit Report

·         Improving Your Credit

·         Federal Income Taxes/EITC

·         Financial Aid, Employment and Small Business Assistance

·         Family Law and DV Protections

·         Immigration and DV

·         Housing Options and Your Rights as a Renter

·         And much, much more….

La YWCA se complace en anunciar otra  sesión de clases de, “Esperanza y Poder para tus Finanzas Personales!” en Español.  Las clases están ofrecidas por la YWCA y son GRATIS.  Es para mujeres que hablan Español y están/fueron víctimas de violencia doméstica.  Las clases están por 10 semanas, de 17 de septiembre a 19 de Noviembre cada martes de 11:00 am a 2:00 pm.  Las clases están en un lugar confidencial en el área sur de King County.  Los temas son:·         Abuso financiero y la seguridad

·         Lo básico de un banco/ Cuentas de cheques

·         Como mantener su registro de cuenta

·         Presupuesto de tu dinero

·         Como mantener un buen historial de crédito

·         Como mejorar tu puntuación de crédito

·         Formar y mantener metas financieras
