The Kent Regional Fire Authority, Firefighters Local 1747, and the Kent Firefighters Foundation would like to thank everyone who donated, wrapped, and/or delivered the 4,000 gifts that were taken to the Kent Food Bank this morning through the Toys for Joy program.

Toys for Joy, which has supported and been supported by the community for over 20 years, collects, wraps, and delivers toys to various food banks in the area so that needy families can have a more cheerful holiday.

According to the Kent Food Bank, the toys delivered to them will serve close to 2,000 children. Toys were also distributed in Covington and SeaTac – all parts of the Kent RFA’s response area.

Again, we would like to thank everyone who supported the Toys for Joy program, especially the following companies:

Reddaway Trucking for providing a semi-truck and trailer to store and haul the wrapped gifts.

Door to Door Storage of Kent for providing the storage pods.

The Kent Regional Fire Authority and its partners look forward to another successful campaign in 2016.
