MAKE-2014
Tabletop Moviemaking: Film and Animation in Miniature
Saturday, Nov. 8, 10 a.m.
Presented by Brick Maier/Tabletop Media.
Ages 8 to 12.
In this two-hour workshop, write a script, build characters and settings, shoot and edit a movie using an iPad, then end with a screening! Students will use paper characters and dioramas to experience the fundamentals of the moviemaking process. iMovie will be used to learn the basics of editing, sound effects, titles and transitions.

Build It!
Saturday, Nov. 15, 10:30 a.m.
Family program, all ages welcome with adult.
The library will provide the LEGO and DUPLO blocks, straws and connectors, and wooden blocks-you provide the fun! Build, create and share.

Young Readers Book Bunch

Make the library more awesome for teens! The Covington Library is seeking dedicated teens to share ideas and help plan programs and services.

Job Readiness
Saturday, Nov. 15, 2 p.m.
Presented by YMCA, Seattle.The Youth Employment and Training program helps young people develop skills they need to enter the workforce, such as job search skills, cover letters and resumes.
Registration required beginning November 1 at 10 a.m.

Knights of Veritas
Saturday, Nov. 22, 2 p.m.
Join Knights of Veritas for an exciting interactive program which includes sword fighting, facts and fun! Discover facts and myths about medieval height, diet and medical care. Watch the Knights demonstrate the skill and physical prowess of authentic combat from the middle ages!

Study Zone
Mondays through Thursdays, through Nov. 25, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Drop-in during scheduled Study Zone hours for free homework help from volunteer tutors.

Teen Study Hall
Most Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 3 to 5:45 p.m.
Middle school, junior high and high school students, the Game On room is open for study! Bring your books and study on your own or in groups.

Senior Sunday

EVENTS FOR ALL AGES!
If you can imagine something, you can learn to make it at the library. Follow your curiosity and explore the latest computer technologies. Try your hand at animation and special effects.
