Holly McHugh has accepted the position of vice president of the Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation Board.
McHugh has been a member of the board since 2012, previously serving as treasurer. In addition to filling in for the president when necessary, McHugh is handling several special projects for the foundation.
“With my strong love for gardens, the Arboretum has been a central place for enjoying all the outdoor opportunities available in the area,” McHugh said.
The foundation also appointed Sarah Gilbert as treasurer and Sarah Schumacher as board member at large.
“I’m so pleased to be working with such vibrant and inspiring members of our community,” said President Noel Paterson. “As the board prepares for our 50th anniversary in 2015, they will help shape the legacy of a most beloved treasure in Maple Valley.”
From sitting on the board, to joining a garden work party to devoting time to one of our committees, volunteer opportunities abound for community members to support our local nonprofit public garden.
