In January, kids can create an original artwork and enter it into our Student Art Contest, to build awareness of our local treasure.

An always sold-out fundraising event, the Hellebore Tea in March features food, drink and a silent auction at Lake Wilderness Lodge.

The Western Azalea Celebration in May to celebrates the peak bloom time in the Arboretum’s Smith-Mossman Garden, and in July, the Fuchsia Festival features a barbecue dinner set among our fuchsia plants in full bloom.

The Foundation and Tahoma High School team up for Theatre in the Arboretum in August, benefit performances of student-directed and acted plays staged in our meadow.

The fall brings United Way’s Day of Caring and Maple Valley Make A Difference Day, volunteer events that bring together the entire community in service.

Add the annual Community Lighting & Holiday Party in December, with our popular Plant Sales in May and September, and we’ve got a year full for spectacular events to look forward to!

“A special thanks to everyone who helped us this year, and in years past,” said Noel Paterson, president of the Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation. “We hope to see you in 2014!”
