Victim reportedly claimed roommate stole her jewelry | Covington and Maple Valley Police Blotter

AUTO THEFT

On Oct. 21 it was reported that a vehicle with the keys left inside it was stolen.

OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER

On Oct. 17 officers arrested a female subject for an outstanding warrant. She was also booked for making a false statement.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

On Oct. 17 officers were informed that someone entered a gas station convenience store and claimed he was being held hostage.

LARCENY

On Oct. 17 an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s vehicle while parked outside of Costco and took several items.

On Oct. 18 officers responded to the post office to reports that six PO boxes had been pried open overnight.

On Oct. 18 it was reported that items were stolen from the victim’s vehicle while it was parked outside the Covington Library.

On Oct. 19 officers were called to Kohl’s regarding reports that a juvenile had stolen several items from the makeup department. The report stated she placed the items in her backpack and pants before leaving the store without paying.

On Oct. 19 subjects were located and arrested in Kent after reportedly stealing items from the Covington Safeway. The report stated they were released and charged by investigation.

On Oct. 20 it was reported that a package containing ammunition was stolen off the victim’s front porch. The police report stated there are three people in custody relating to the theft.

On Oct. 22 it was reported that the victim’s bicycle was reportedly stolen from outside McDonald’s.

On Oct. 22 officers were contacted by the victim who claimed her roommate was stealing jewelry from her. The police report stated that the victim is disabled and never leaves home and about six months ago her roommate moved in.
