MAPLE VALLEY
VANDALISM: 23700 block of Southeast 253rd Place. Someone drove a car through the victim’s front yard in the Springhaven neighborhood, damaging the grass and landscaping. Several neighbors have reportedly experienced similar vandalism in the past few weeks “and are getting frustrated and concerned that this keeps happening,” according to the police report. The victim also contacted the homeowner’s association.
POSSESSION: 24200 block of 228th Avenue Southeast. Two subjects were arrested after they were found in possession of 3.5 grams of marijuana. The pair was found trespassing at an apartment complex under construction. The case is pending lab test results.
BOUNDARY ISSUES: 21900 block of Southeast 242nd Street. A house sitter allowed a man the homeowners didn’t know into the house on a frequent basis as well as allowed the man to drive the homeowner’s car without their explicit consent.
TURN IT OFF: 26000 block of state Route 169. A continual, loud alarm was emitting from an unoccupied metal building. The owner reportedly refused to turn the alarm off.
DISPOSABLE: 23800 block of Southeast 246th Street. A resident of the Belmont Woods neighborhood reported finding syringes on the street in the development.

IN STOCK: 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. Someone stole a scanner gun from Fred Meyer.
PICK POCKET: 27500 block of Covington Way. After returning home from a shopping trip to Costco, a man discovered someone had lifted his cell phone, which was in his front left pants pocket.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: 16900 block of Southeast 269th Place. A man who was driving with a suspended license was arrested after police discovered he also had a misdemeanor domestic violence warrant.
EXPLICIT PICTURE: 25600 block of 164th Avenue Southeast. A female high-school student sent a nude photo of herself to a male student who then forwarded it to a number of their classmates.
CAR PROWL: 27500 block of Covington Way. A man parked his truck outside of Costco and locked the doors but when he returned to his vehicle half an hour later, he discovered someone had broken into his truck and stolen his stereo and GPS unit.
MAIL THEFT: 19400 block of Southeast 277th Street. On Dec. 20, about five pieces of mail were stolen from the victim, including a Christmas card sent by the victim’s mother-in-law. In the card were three separate Canadian money orders.
GRAFFITI: 26000 block of 164th Avenue Southeast. The Savanna homeowners association president reported there was gang graffiti on the property.
