Learn about the science and history of robots and the latest achievements of robots in space, on Earth and in the home. Use the Museum’s robotics kits to explore the basic engineering skills required to build a successful extra-terrestrial rover.

Using period images, historian Tames Alan talks about what it was like to live and work downstairs on an estate such as Downton Abbey before the First World War. Come learn what was expected of those who entered service, from the complicated hierarchy between upper and lower servants and their duties, to the high jinks downstairs that accompanied the long hours of drudgery. As with all her Living History Lectures, a question-and-answer period follows.
