Two convenience stores in Maple Valley were robbed at gunpoint early this morning.

Two convenience stores in Maple Valley were robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning, July 27.

Sheriff’s office deputies believe the same three suspects are responsible for both robberies.

The first robbery occurred around 3:00 a.m. at the Chevron at 27201 216th Ave SE.

According to a release from King County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. John Urquhart, masked men came in and took money and cigarettes before fleeing on foot.

The second robbery occurred at around 3:45 a.m. at the 76/Circle K at 26821 Maple Valley – Black Diamond Road.

The three robbers matched the descriptions of the Chevron suspects. An unknown amount of money was taken.

The suspects were described as white males in their 20’s wearing green or black hooded coats and masks.

There were no injuries in either robbery.

There were similar robberies reported several days ago in Federal Way. Urquhaurt stated it is not known whether the robberies are connected.
