COVINGTON

Aug. 13

  • THEFT: 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. The suspect, described as a black man, cut the security cable of a display Motorola Xoom tablet computer in the electronics section of Fred Meyer then left the store with it.
  • DEALING: 26600 block of Timberlane Drive. A man admitted he was trying to selling pills for someone else.

Aug. 10

  • TRAFFIC STOP AND MORE: Southeast 262nd Place and 180th Avenue Southeast. A driver was pulled over because he did not have a front license plate and the car’s windshield was defective. The driver had identification but no insurance while his passenger was cited for being a minor in possession.

Aug. 9

  • CHECK CARD FRAUD: 16500 block of Southeast 260th Street. The victim discovered fraudulent activity on his bank account when a trio of transactions appeared in cities in California. There was a $100 charge at a Walmart and two separate purchases of more than $120 at two different Walgreens’ locations.

Aug. 8

  • BURGLARY: 27000 block of 200th Avenue Southeast. Someone broke into the victim’s home and stole firearms as well as jewelry. The burglars appeared to have forced entry into the home through a rear sliding glass door.

 

MAPLE VALLEY

Aug. 13

  • GET OUT OF THE CAR: 23500 block of Southeast Kent-Kangley Road. The suspect shoved the victim out of a vehicle. The car was not moving when the victim forcibly exited.

Aug. 12

  • HARASSMENT:  23800 block of Southeast 247th Place. The victim’s ex-boyfriend posted explicit photos of her on Facebook.

Aug. 11

  • INTERNET FRAUD: 22800 block of Southeast 270th Street. Someone used a domain name to gain access to the victim’s PayPal account and extract money from it.
  • APPLE THIEF: 21600 block of Southeast 272nd Street. Someone stole the victim’s Apple iPad 2 tablet computer from the beer garden at the PlaMor Tavern.

Aug. 9

  • DISPOSING OF EVIDENCE: 24200 block of 224th Avenue Southeast. A resident of an senior living center discarded clippings of explicit photos and possibly child pornography.
  • ALCOHOL STING: Multiple locations. During a compliance check by the state Liquor Control board a trio of local businesses — Lake Wilderness Golf Course bar, 7-Eleven and Shop Fast — were caught selling alcohol to minors.
  • PIMPS AND…: 22000 block of Southeast Wax Road. One suspect was arrested for promoting prostitution online while another person of interest was detained for allegedly working as a prostitute. The suspected pimp’s car was seized.
  • DON’T POINT THAT AT ME: 22500 block of Southeast 283rd Street. The suspect threatened his brother with a handgun.
