This season’s first game is an early afternoon game with heavy attendance expected, meaning fans will be leaving the game and exiting the Stadium and SODO areas at about the same time as most commuters are also trying to leave the downtown areas. Transit customers and all commuters are encouraged to be prepared for delays, allow plenty of time and be patient, or to revise travel plans if necessary.

With area construction and a reduced number of on-street parking spaces, bus, train and ferry services provided by King County Metro Transit and its regional transit partners are excellent options for getting to and from Mariner games, however all forms of transportation could be affected by traffic and delays associated with events at Seattle’s sports and other venues.

There is no special or premium Metro Transit service to or from Mariners games, and no planned reroutes of transit service due to currently scheduled Stadium events. Ride regularly scheduled Transit service to or near Safeco Field. Regular fares apply. Expect traffic & possible transit delays before and after games on routes that serve SODO, Stadium, Pioneer Square & downtown Seattle areas.

For information about regular transit service to Mariners games, to plan other trips or for links to Metro’s regional transit partners, visit Metro Online or Metro’s online Trip Planner or its associated Android or Apple apps. When planning your trip, check Metro’s Service Advisories page to find out about any planned service revisions to your routes.
