FORGERY
• On March 25 it was reported that a fake cashiers check addressed to the Covington police chief was mailed to City Hall.
ACCIDENT
• On March 22 officers responded to a two vehicle collision. The driver of one of the vehicles was arrested for driving under the influence.
FAMILY DISTURBANCE
• On March 24 officers were contacted by a mother claiming her daughter had hit her with her fist and a broom. According to the police report, there was no evidence of injury and the mother become uncooperative.
TRESPASS
• On March 25 officers responded to Starbucks to reports that the suspect had stolen the tip jar containing $20 to $40. They admitted to stealing the jar but officers could not locate the bills. They returned $4.90 in change to Starbucks.
RECKLESS DRIVING
• On March 26 it was reported that a driver failed to stop and was driving recklessly after reportedly shoplifting.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
• On March 27 officers conducted a traffic stop and while talking with the driver, they took off. The subject reportedly struck the officer but after a pursuit, the subject was caught.
PEDDLING
• On March 27 it was reported that a male subject was seen panhandling outside My Goods Market. He is being charged by investigation for aggressive soliciting and was released on scene. According to the police report, this is an ongoing issue and he reportedly pretends to be deaf.
VANDALISM
• On March 28 officers responded to reports that a boyfriend keyed his girlfriend’s car after they got into an argument.
