COVINGTON

March 13

  • NICE LID: 25400 164th Avenue Southeast. While walking someone stole a man’s Giants hat when the “suspect snatched the hat off victim’s head,” according to the police report.

March 9

  • MY EX IS DEALING: 18600 block of Southeast 265th Street. A man accused his ex-wife of selling marijuana. He showed a deputy a video he shot on his cell phone of a deal between his ex-wife and a buyer.

March 8

  • ROBBED: 17400 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A woman suffered injuries after her purse was taken by force while she was walking in front of a hot yoga business.
  • PASSED OUT: 27100 block of 164th Avenue Southeast. Around 9 p.m. a deputy responded to a report of a man passed out at the Covington Library branch. According to the reporting party, the man had been unconscious for some time, and he appeared to be intoxicated according to the police report.

March 7

  • TROUBLE: Southeast 262nd Street and 194th Avenue Southeast. A man was contacted while he was in the Timberlane neighborhood and he was found in possession of a meth pipe, needles and he had two warrants for his arrest.
  • CAR WAS STILL LOCKED: 27500 block of Covington Way. Before going to work a man locked his car in the parking lot. When he returned to the car it was still locked, however, when he got into the car he discovered several items were missing.

March 1

  • SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: Southeast 272nd Street and 172nd Avenue Southeast. A woman believed estranged mother was following her around town in an effort to intimidate her.

March 15

  • NO ALLOWANCE?!?: 215600 block of Southeast 258th Street. A 15-year-old boy threw a tantrum when he was not given his allowance. The boy kicked items in the garage, damaged property and hit his father.

March 14

  • FIGHT: 23200 block of state Route 169. Two men were seen fighting outside of Gloria’s and one of the men shoved the other into a parked vehicle.

March 9

  • IN A HURRY: 24300 block of Witte Road Southeast. A woman left her child unlocked in a running car at Lake Wilderness Elementary parked in a disabled parking stall with no placard or plate.

March 7

  • SUSPENDED LICENSE: 24300 Witte Road Southeast. A driver whose license was suspended was stopped for speeding in a school zone. The car was impounded and driver cited.
  • IN YOUR GRILL: 23700 block of Southeast 248th Street. Someone removed the front grill beneath the hood of the victim’s vehicle while the car was parked in the driveway.

March 6

  • HARASSMENT: 22500 block of Southeast 279th Street. The reporting party kept receiving text messages from another person whom she does not wish to text with.
  • THEFT: Southeast 264th Street and 243rd Avenue Southeast. Someone broke into the victim’s company work truck, which was parked on the shoulder of the road, using some kind of prying tool and stole a paint pump.

March 5

  • IDENTITY THEFT: 21600 block of Southeast 257th Place. A man discovered someone had gotten his Costco American Express credit card number and Social Security number to open a PayPal account. The victim said he still has his credit card and does not know how the thief was able to obtain either the card number or his SSN.
