Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance authorizing an amendment to the purchase and sale agreement dated June 21, 2007, in order to facilitate financing and construction of the project located on the North Half of the Former Kingdome Parking lot parcel (Ordinance 2012-0123).

The Committee will also host a joint meeting between the King County Council and the Port Commissioners from the Port of Seattle. The two bodies will receive briefings on:

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:
  • An ordinance making supplemental appropriations to various general and non-general fund agencies and amending the 2012/2013 Biennial Budget Ordinance (Substitute Ordinance 2012-0184).
  • A motion to strengthen regional cooperation between the County and the Port of Seattle Contingent on Committee Action(Motion 2012-0227).

  • An ordinance related to a new multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility authorizing the King County executive to execute a memorandum of understanding with the city of Seattle and ArenaCo and to execute an interlocal agreement with the city (Ordinance 2012-0202). Committee members will meet with arena investor Chris Hansen during the briefing.
