The Greater Maple Valley Community Center receives grant

The Greater Maple Valley Community Center 50 Plus Adult Program was awarded a two year Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) grant.

The Greater Maple Valley Community Center 50 Plus Adult Program was awarded a two year Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) grant.

The grant provides low cost rides to all transportation dependent individuals or access eligible persons within the 100 square miles of the Greater Maple Valley area.

The new program is in partnership with WSDOT and King County Metro and will be called the Southeast Regional Shuttle. It will run as a dial-a-ride program Mondays thru Fridays.

The cost of the rider is 50 cents each way.

Starting in September, the Community Center will have a phone number to set up reservations

Residents who will be able to use this service include those in Maple Valley and the Tahoma School District boundaries, Hobart, Ravensdale, Kanaskat-Palmer, Black Diamond, Lake Sawyer, Lake Morton and Covington.
