The gates to the oldest county fair west of the Mississippi open on Thursday, July 14! The 154th edition of the King County Fair will be held over 4 days at the Enumclaw Expo Center.

“The King County Fair is a time-honored tradition that promotes agriculture in King County,” said Metropolitan King County Council Vice Chair Reagan Dunn whose district includes the King County Fairgrounds. “I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the fair.”

“We learned a lot from last year’s Fair, and this year we believe we’re providing both the entertainment people want while continuing to promote agriculture in King County. A number of regional 4-H organizations are participating this year at the fair including the Barn Buddies from Renton, Issaquah, and Maple Valley that show horses,” said Scott Gray, General Manager Enumclaw Expo and Events Center. “Without a doubt the King County Fair has to be the best value entertainment event this year. Where else for a $7 ticket can you see concerts, animals, and have access to good food and great rides? We encourage everyone to come out and join in the fun.”

Attractions include pig racing, truck pulls, amusement rides, Mutton Bustin’, the K9 Kings Flying Dog Show, rock climbing, Eric Haines Comedy Rocket, paintball, trampolines, exhibits and more! General Admission is $7 a ticket with presale tickets now available at area Safeway Stores. Children under 5 can enter in for free each day while members of the military and seniors over the age of 65 get the discounted price of $5 per day.

“Enumclaw is a community that proudly embraces and supports the King County Fair,” said Enumclaw Mayor Liz Reynolds. “The City of Enumclaw greatly appreciates all the hard work Councilmember Reagan Dunn has done to insure ongoing county financially support towards the fair. The fair brings an economic boost to our community as well as supports all the agricultural genres that are important to a county fair and surrounding rural areas.”
