Tahoma High School nationally ranked by Newsweek

Tahoma High School is ranked among the top 5 percent of public high schools in the United States by Newsweek magazine for the second consecutive year.

The ranking, which lists Tahoma as No. 1,145 out of 1,500 schools, is a measure of how many students at each school take Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or Cambridge tests. That number is then divided by the number of graduating seniors to obtain a ranking. Tahoma High School has experienced a steady increase in the number of students who participate in AP classes. This year’s ranking is 277 places higher on the list than last year.
