The students in Gretchen Wulfing’s Tahoma High School Civics class will participate in the We The People final Championship round of hearings at 10 a.m. in the Ways and Means Committee Hearing Room, B-318 in the Rayburn Building.

Nearly 1,400 high school students from 47 states, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands are participating in the 25th Anniversary We the People National Finals in Washington, D.C.

The championship rounds of the three-day competition on the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights is being held on the campus of George Mason University and in congressional hearing rooms on Capitol Hill.

The 10 State Finalists were announced on April 27.

This is the second time in 20 years Washington State has been a finalist.
