Tahoma celebrates groundbreaking last Friday

The new high school and regional learning center is scheduled to open for the 2017-18 school year

Tahoma School District celebrated the groundbreaking of the new high school and regional learning center Friday, June 5. The drumline provided entertainment before the festivities began and the Tahoma cheerleaders were there to greet attendees.

The first class to graduate from the new high school will be this year’s ninth grade class, who will graduate in 2018.

Claire Phillips, current ASB President for Tahoma Junior High, gave a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony.
