Swerving driver arrested for DUI | Black Diamond Police Blotter

An officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound swerve in the police department parking lot and almost hit a parked police vehicle. The car was stopped and the officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol on the woman driver's breath. A driving under the influence investigation was conducted and the woman was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. She was booked into Buckley Jail on the charge of DUI after submitting to a breath test.

  • DUI: Lawson Street. An officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound swerve in the police department parking lot and almost hit a parked police vehicle. The car was stopped and the officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol on the woman driver’s breath. A driving under the influence investigation was conducted and the woman was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. She was booked into Buckley Jail on the charge of DUI after submitting to a breath test.
  • BREAK IN: 3rd Avenue. Officers were dispatched to a commercial alarm at a business at about 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival officers confirmed the business had been broken into and there was about $150 in damage to the business and theft of $2500 in merchandise and cash. The case is still under investigation.
  • Oct. 12

    • FELONY WARRANT: Roberts Drive. A vehicle was spotted speeding and when stopped a routine check showed the woman driver had a felony warrant from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office for fraud charges. The female was placed under arrest and booked into the Regional Justice Center in Kent.
