Suspects reportedly steal from construction site | Covington & Maple Valley Police Blotter

• On May 21 officers responded to reports that unknown suspects entered a closed construction site at night and stole a number of items from a shed. The police report stated the suspects gained access by cutting a chain link fence along a wooded area.

All subjects in the police blotter are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

BURGLARY

• On May 21 officers responded to reports that unknown suspects entered a closed construction site at night and stole a number of items from a shed. The police report stated the suspects gained access by cutting a chain link fence along a wooded area.

• On May 23 officers responded to reports that there was a burglary were force was used to enter the home. The police report stated that a crow bar was used to pry open a door on the back of the home. Several electronic items and jewelry were stolen.

• On May 25 officers were informed that an unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a garage door opener.

• On May 27 officers responded to reports that a subject smashed a rear sliding door and stole a handgun among other items.

VEHICLE RECOVERY

• On May 22, officers stopped a vehicle that had been stolen. The two male subjects inside the vehicle were both taken into custody. Both of them were found to be in possession of narcotics. The police report stated that the vehicle had been spray painted in order to alter its appearance.

LARCENY

• On May 22 it was reported that an unknown suspect exited a King County library with a laptop belonging to the library.

• On May 26 officers responded to reports the reporting party’s vehicle was broken into and items had been stolen. She told officers she discovered her vehicle had been broken into when she was out for a walk and found contents of her wallet a few hours down.

• On May 27 officers responded to a report that the reporting party’s cell phone was stolen from inside her purse while she was shopping at Kohl’s. She told officers her purse was sitting in a shopping cart. The report stated that when they called the phone, a female voice picked up and answered saying she found the phone.
