COVINGTON
- THE GRINCH: 26000 block of 191st Place Southeast. Someone stole a Christmas pig decoration from the victim’s front yard.
- RUN OVER: 17200 block of Southeast 262nd Street. A man alleged that his girlfriend ran him over with her car.
- ASSAULT: 18800 block of Southeast 260th Street. An 18-year-old woman allegedly assaulted her step-father and her mother by kicking, hitting and biting.
- GRAFFITI: 18500 block of Southeast 263rd Street. The victim’s block wall that surrounds the home was spray painted with graffiti described as 2 to 2-1/2 feet tall letters in black and red or pink paint. The victim e-mailed photos to city of Covington officials and is willing to assist in prosecution.
- DRUG DEALERS: Southeast Wax Road and Southeast 275th Street. A pair of suspects were caught “dealing dope” in a fast food parking lot and were also cited for driving recklessly, with one of the suspects driving despite having a suspended license.
- FORGED PRESCRIPTIONS: 17100 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A woman picked up a forged prescription that had been called in. When police searched her, the woman also had another medication obtained with a forged prescription that was not in her name in her purse.
- SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: 17600 block of Southeast 259th Court. A person described as an “unknown suspect” in the police report pulled up to a driveway of a private home and walked up to the open garage. When confronted, the suspect said, “I’m looking for gas,” and left.
- STOLEN CAR: 26700 block of 171st Place Southeast. A woman parked her car in her apartment complex shortly before midnight on Nov. 19. When she went to drive it on Nov. 22 around 1:30 p.m., it was gone.
- HIT AND RUN: 18000 block of Southeast 256th Street. A woman who was driving with a suspended license left the scene of a collision without exchanging information with the other driver.
- RUNNING DRUNK: Southeast Kent Kangley Road. A motorist who police were attempting to pull over for reckless driving attempting to elude authorities. The driver crashed the car and tried to flee on foot but was captured and when it appeared the driver was intoxicated, police attempted to give a breathalyzer test, but the driver refused and was booked into the King County Jail.
- NOT SO FRIENDLY NEIGHBOR: 16100 block of Southeast 259th Court. Two men who are neighbors were arguing. The man accused of starting the incident also allegedly made racial comments toward his neighbors during the verbal altercation.
- NEVER BRING A KNIFE: 24000 block of 193rd Place. Two juvenile males got into a fight during which both suffered injuries. After the fight, it was mentioned by another party during interviews by police that there was a knife involved, but “all parties had different stories on who had (the) knife.”
- SHOPPING WITHOUT PAYING: 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A man walked into Fred Meyer, grabbed a cart, loaded it up with items such as a grill, a mixing machine and an electric razor then tried to leave the store without paying for them. Loss prevention caught the would-be shoplifter and held him until police arrived.
- ATTEMPTING TO FLEE: 21900 block of Southeast Wax Road. A driver tried elude an officer after the deputy tried to pull the driver over for a minor traffic infraction.
- SHOPLIFTERS: Two males tried to run away after allegedly shoplifting at Safeway in Four Corners. The store manager did not want to press charges against the shoplifters.
- THEFT: 21800 block of Southeast 266th Place. A car cover for a vintage Corvette was stolen from the vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of a private residence.
