Summit Gymnastics boys team makes its mark in Portland

Maple Valley-based Summit Gymnastics boys artistic team brought home a lot of medals from the 12th annual Rose City Challenge March 5-6 in Portland.

Summit was one of 41 teams at the meet. Gabriel Righi and Shane Conley, both 6 years old and Level 4 gymnasts, came in 14th and 15th respectively.

Noah Righi, 8, who competes at Level 4, took home a third place medal for vault in his session.

The Level 5 boys made a great showing with eight-year-old Robby Guyer taking third on floor and fifth in all around. Zach Klobutcher, 8, took fifth on the floor and seventh in all around. Nicholas Righi placed fifth on vault and 10th in all around.

Finishing up the weekend, Level 6 gymnast Antonio Lim received a third place medal for vault and 13th in all around, while teammate and brother John Lim, Level 9, placed first on vault, second on floor and rings, and third in the all around.
