Rock blasting closures start 30 minutes earlier next week on Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass.

The Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews will close I-90 for rock blasting at 7 p.m. each night for about an hour Monday, Aug. 25 through Wednesday, Aug. 27. Eastbound traffic will be stopped at Gold Creek (milepost 56) and westbound traffic will be stopped at Price Creek (milepost 61).

Daytime and nighttime lane closures in both directions could cause delays for drivers between Denny Creek (milepost 47) and the Price Creek vicinity (milepost 62 to 65) Monday through Thursday. Rolling slowdowns could also cause 20 minute delays for drivers Monday through Wednesday about four miles east of the Snoqualmie Pass Summit (milepost 56) around Keechelus Lake (milepost 61).
