Revenue offers free webinar about taxes for nonprofit organizations

Nonprofit organizations in Washington have many responsibilities, including knowing which taxes they may owe. Unlike other states, Washington nonprofit organizations do not have a blanket tax exemption at the state level.

To help nonprofits understand how taxes apply to their activities, the Washington State Department of Revenue (Revenue) will host a free live webinar for nonprofit organizations.

The deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 3, 2014.

Participants will learn about Washington excise taxes, reporting classifications, deductions, sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements that may apply to your activities. The webinar facilitator will answer specific questions at the end of the webinar, time permitting.
