Registration open for teen Community Emergency Response Team class

Maple Valley CERT is holding a teen class in July

Registration is now open for a teen Community Emergency Response Team class July 18-19 hosted by Maple Valley CERT.

CERT is a national program of volunteers trained in disaster preparedness and emergency response.

Participants will learn the complete FEMA curriculum including small fire suppression, light search and rescue, triage, medical treatment, the incident command system, disaster stress, emergency communications, hazard materials, and signs of terrorism. Participants will also learn about potential hazards in the greater Maple Valley area and how to safely and responsibly respond.
