Public hearing on land sale set for Monday

The public hearing will be followed by the regular city council meeting

The city of Maple Valley will hold a public hearing regarding the sale of 19.8 acres of land to the Tahoma School District. The District plans to expand their new high school project by constructing a faculty parking lot, parent pick-up loop and joint-use athletic fields.

Per the council meeting on Oct. 13, the city will be prepared to either sell the district at least 7.7 acres of the property in question or not after the public hearing takes place.

The meeting will be during the regular city council meeting, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at Tahoma School District Central Services Facility, 25720 Maple Valley-Black Diamond Road SE.
