March 14

LOST AND FOUND: 17400 block of Southeast 270th Place. A woman lost her wallet either inside Walmart or in the store parking lot. Someone found the wallet and used her credit card to make a series of purchases.

March 13

SHOPLIFTING DUO: 17000 block of Southeast 270th Place. A woman and a girl were caught shoplifting makeup at Kohl’s. Both were arrested.

RADAR RAGE: Southeast 263rd Street and Timberlane Boulevard. Someone smashed the window of an eight foot speed limit radar trailer that alerts drivers of their speed. The device, operated by the city of Covington, is mounted on a Speed Monitoring Awareness Trailer that was parked in the Timberlane neighborhood.

TWO WRONGS: 25800 block of 164th Avenue Southeast. After discovering her daughter had been asked for sexually explicit photos as payment for alcohol, a concerned mother called the principal at Kentwood High, who then notified the authorities.

MAPLE VALLEY

March 13

ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE: 22500 block of Southeast 248th Street. A man was found sitting in his car after hours at Lake Wilderness Park. The police officer discovered what he suspected to be marijuana as well as a pipe in the man’s car.

RECKLESS DRIVING: 27000 block of Maple Valley Highway. A 16 year old boy was driving recklessly through the parking lot of the Four Corners Safeway, skidding around, when he struck another car and caused extensive damage.

March 12

CAR BREAK IN: 21900 block of Southeast Wax Road. Someone stole a stereo and tachometer from a Honda parked in the lot of the Maple Crossing Apartments.

March 11

MORE THAN A SHOPLIFTER: 26900 block of Maple Valley Highway. After a shoplifting suspect was caught at Safeway in Four Corners was then discovered to have multiple warrants out for his arrest.

March 9

DISGRUNTLED EX-EMPLOYEE: 22100 block of Southeast 237th Street. Owners of Seattle Sun Tan suspect a former employee entered the corporate the business with a key and security code then stole $250.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT THEFT: 26600 block of Maple Valley Highway. Someone stole a dump truck with an excavator and a trailer from a locked business site.

THEFT: 24200 block of Witte Road Southeast. A laptop and project were taken from a secure portable at Lake Wilderness Elementary School.

March 6

18000 of Southeast 265th Place. Shortly after 10 p.m. a woman parked her car in her driveway and went into her home. The next morning as she was getting ready to head to work she discovered someone had smashed the window and stolen the GPS unit from her car. Nothing else was stolen.
