SHOPLIFTING SPREE: 17000 block of Southeast 270th Place

• A pair of teenage girls stole numerous items from Kohl’s including clothes and perfume. The girls stashed the merchandise in their purses.

BREAK-IN: 17300 block of Southeast 272nd Street. Someone pried open the door of Kids Cut then kicked a hole in the wall it shared with the neighboring business, Emerald City Smoothies, in order to get into the smoothie shop.

Feb. 19

THEFT: 18200 block of Southeast 262nd Place

• Someone came into a homeowner’s yard while she was hosting a garage sale and stole items from a table that were part of the sale.

Feb. 17

FAKE SCRIP: 17400 block of Southeast 272nd Street

• A man attempted to get a forged prescription filled at the QFC pharmacy. The forged description was a photocopy and authorities believe he had tried to get it filled at other area pharmacies.

STOLEN AND FOUND: 26400 block of 195th Place Southeast

• After his cell phone was stolen in Auburn, a man tracked it down to an address in the Timberlane neighborhood using his laptop, but did not want to pursue prosecution of the suspects once he got his phone back.

Feb. 21

CAUGHT IN THE ACT: 24600 block of 232nd Place

• A burglar tried to break into a home by cutting through a screen then pry open a ground floor window in the rear of the house. The suspect was thwarted when the homeowner saw him at which point he fled on foot.

Feb. 20

UNUSUAL DONATION: 27000 block of Maple Valley Highway

• An employee of Goodwill reported that someone dropped off graphic photos at the donation center.

Feb. 18

TWO FOR ONE: 26900 block of Maple Valley Highway

• While officers were investigating another crime at Safeway they noticed someone attempt to shoplift beer from the grocery store.

VIOLENT SHOPLIFTER: 26900 block of Maple Valley Highway

• A shoplifting suspect threw punches and made death threats to a loss prevention employee.

Feb. 16

CAR PROWL: 22000 block of Southeast 269th Street

• A portable GPS system was stolen from a woman’s unlocked car while it was parked in the driveway.
