Travelers headed over Snoqualmie Pass this weekend may want to factor-in a little added time due to warmer weather, Mother’s Day and several areas along Interstate 90 that will shift traffic through the work zones.
Next week, crews will be blasting on Interstate 90 near the snowshed. The pass is scheduled to close in both directions from Hyak (milepost 54) to the Price Creek Sno-Park (milepost 61) from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, and Wednesday, May 16. Drivers should plan for an hour of added travel time. This work is weather dependent and is subject to change.
The countdown continues and there are only two weeks left of daytime lane restrictions near Easton. Drivers need to plan for delays on I-90 Monday through Friday mornings, due to daytime single-lane closures in both directions. To improve weekend traffic flow, crews will open two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane from 9 a.m. Fridays to 9 a.m. Sundays. And on Sundays, crews will open two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
