Pistol stolen from glove box of car parked at Costco | Covington-Maple Valley Reporter

THEFT: 27500 block of Covington Way. After a stop at Costco, a man returned to his car in noticed his glove box was open, then discovered that his Glock pistol had been stolen. The suspect appeared to have cracked plastic around the driver's side door handle lock to gain entry to the vehicle.

    DOOR TO DOOR: 187200 block of Southeast 258th Place. A man used methamphetamine, then became paranoid and ran from door to door in the Timberlane neighborhood asking for help.

    BURGLARY: 27500 Southeast Covington Way. Someone drilled a hole and activated a push bar on the inside of a door using a rod then entered the business and stole items.

    VANDALISM: 27500 block of Covington Way. Someone cut through phone cables in a Qwest phone box that prevented residents along Southeast Covington-Sawyer Road from using cell phones.

    FRAUD: 27000 block of 185th Avenue Southeast. A suspect used fake names at several different dental offices to obtain Vicodin prescriptions and used bad checks to pay for dental services.

    FAKE PRESCRIPTIONS: 17400 block of Southeast 270th Place. Someone attempted to get forged prescriptions for methadone and Percocet filled at the pharmacy at Walmart.

    THEFT: 26600 block of 168th Place. A woman stole jewelry from her mother-in-law’s jewelry box while she was living with her in-laws.

    GAMERS: 17400 block of Southeast 270th Place. A pair of male suspects stole about $480 worth of video games from Walmart by stuffing the games in their pants then running out the fire exit door.

  • Nov. 8

    ASSAULT: 24300 block of 195th Place Southeast. A son pushed his mother onto a bed, leaving bruises, after the pair had an argument. The son was arrested for domestic violence assault, fourth degree.

    ARGUMENT: 25600 block of 162nd Place Southeast. A woman got into an argument with her teenage daughter over house rules. When police arrived it was discovered the girl had a warrant out for her arrest for third degree malicious mischief.

    FRAUD: 28300 block of 229th Avenue Southeast. Someone stole a person’s personal information, then opened a credit account online in order to purchase a television.

    SHOPLIFTER: 26900 block of Maple Valley Highway. A customer at Safeway in Four Corners paid for the groceries, but, intentionally did not pay for certain items and left them in the shopping cart.

  • Nov. 8

    THEFT: 23300 block of Southeast 284th Street. While unloading items from her car and taking them into her home, a woman’s purse and other items were stolen from the back seat of her car.

    STOLEN CAR: 26800 block of 210th Avenue Southeast. Someone stole a 2002 Land Rover Freelander from a private home at around 6 p.m..

    FOUND CAR: Southeast 272nd Street and 216th Avenue Southeast. A woman spotted her stolen vehicle at the Pla-Mor Tavern. Police released the car to the victim at the scene.
