A pancake breakfast and all the fixings prepared by FAST (Fundraising Action Steering Team) is planned for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Black Diamond Eagles Hall.
FAST is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds to assist with legal expenses related to the fight against the proposed master planned developments in the greater Black Diamond area.
FAST also donates a portion of the proceeds to local community causes such as the Black Diamond Fire Department. This month FAST will make a donation to the Black Diamond food bank, as well as giving free breakfast tickets to needy families.
The Leavenworth cabin drawing will take place at noon. Tickets are $1. The winner will have their choice of dates for two nights at a cabin in the Leavenworth area.
FAST would like to thank Springbrook Farms in Renton and Scott and Jing Jing Heimberger of Jing Jing Asian Market in Factoria for their donations. They would also like to thank the many volunteers who contributed to make the previous breakfasts a success.
Prices are $6 for ages 13 and above, $3 for children 6 to 12; children 5 and under eat free. Bring your family, friends and neighbors. Great fun is in store for all.
