Over 60 racers compete in Maple Valley’s Bike Challenge

Boys and girls ages 4-11 sped through the park, trying to post the fastest time in their age division.

Over 60 racers competed in Maple Valley Parks and Recreation’s annual Bike Challenge held July 19 at Lake Wilderness Park.

Boys and girls ages 4-11 sped through the park, trying to post the fastest time in their age division. Maple Valley Police officers timed the racers.

First place finishers in each division were: Roman McCurdy (5-year-old male), Kaia Spencer (5-year-old female), Nolan Krebs (6M), Riley O’Connell (6F), Kyle Fillmore (7M), Amelia Goode (7F), Nathan Nicholas-Kealoha (8M), Kaili Goode (8F), Connor Hogg (9M), Sage Small (9F), Corey Smotherman (10M), and Grant Victor (11M).

Each racer was also entered into a free bicycle raffle donated by Maple Valley’s Bike Masters and Kyle Fillmore’s names was chosen.
