Nighttime closures on I-90 express lanes next week | WSDOT

The Interstate 90 reversible express lanes will be closed nightly, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., starting Sunday night, Dec. 8, until Friday morning, Dec. 13.

Overnight closures of the I-90 center roadway are scheduled to resume the following week, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, Sunday, Dec. 15, until Friday morning, Dec. 20. The express lanes will reopen each morning in the regularly scheduled westbound direction.

A crew for Sound Transit will be measuring pavement thickness on the I-90 bridge in preparation to install light rail to Bellevue for the East Link Extension. The 14-mile light rail extension to Overlake is scheduled to be complete by 2023.
