More snow, wind and freezing temperatures expected in Maple Valley, Covington and Black Diamond

The weather service is forecasting snow accumulation of 1-to-2 inches. The wind in Maple Valley, Covington and Black Diamond area is predicted to be about 15 mph.

However in other regions to the north and closer to the foothills winds gust are expected to hit 40 mph. Areas listed by the weather service for higher winds include Enumclaw, Everett and Seattle.

The Tahoma School District and Kent School District will begin checking roads early in the morning before making a decision on school delays or closures.

The city of Maple Valley cancelled the business meeting scheduled for tonight, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m. and City Hall closed at 2 p.m.
