Mayors and City Councils of both Maple Valley and Covington recently proclaimed Sept. 27, 2014 as Mayors’ Day of Concern for the Hungry and officials are strongly encouraging residents to join them by supporting Maple Valley Food Bank & Emergency Services.
Donations can be made between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Covington Safeway or Fred Meyer; Maple Valley Safeway, Fred Meyer or QFC. City officials and Boy Scout Troop No. 594 will be lending their services for this annual, county wide event. Maple Valley Food Bank & Emergency Services serves residents of Black Diamond, Covington, Hobart, Maple Valley, Ravensdale and within the Tahoma School District.
