Maple Valley Rotary members and friends spruce up the community

Members of the Maple Valley Rotary Club along with friends gathered at the Fred V. Habenicht Park on the Cedar River Saturday morning.

The workers spruced up the park and completed other projects in the area.

The volunteers were having a good time despite rain mixed with snow and some very chilly temperatures.

The park was renamed in honor of Habenicht in April 2007. Habenicht was a member of rotary and was known for his dedication and commitment to the community.
