There will be a discussion about developing a public art program for the city from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 8 at the Lake Wilderness Lodge.
Present at the meeting will be the Maple Valley Public Art Program Steering Committee, members of the Maple Valley cultural community, and 4Culture.
The focus of this meeting is specifically the potential role and membership of a proposed Maple Valley arts/cultural commission.
The meeting activities will include a presentation by 4Culture on how other communities have structured public art programs and facilitated small group discussions about the possible membership and role of an arts/cultural commission for Maple Valley.
Everyone is welcome, and citizens currently engaged in cultural groups and activities in the city are especially encouraged to attend. Please lend your passion and expertise to help frame recommendations for this exciting civic policy.
The Lodge is located at 22500 SE 248th St. Maple Valley. The meeting will be held in the Maple Room.
