Maple Valley Presbyterian Church is hosting Dean Smith, an Enumclaw native, at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 22.

Smith’s film, “Live to Forgive,” was screened in his hometown in September to an audience of more than 900 people. The film is the story of his road to forgiveness after his mother was killed.

After graduating from Enumclaw High, where he played basketball, he went on to compete in Europe and now serves in ministry. He has since married, had a child and returned to his hometown.

His film will be shown at 6 p.m. on Jan. 22 at MVPC.
