Maple Valley Police will host its annual Bicycle Safety Rodeo from 9 a.m. to noon June 18 at Glacier Park Elementary, 23700 S.E. 280th St., Maple Valley.
In addition to police officers, personnel from Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety as well as representatives from local organizations and businesses will participate in the rodeo, which will create a fun and safe learning environment for children to develop rider safety skills.
Youngsters will learn proper street bicycilng techniques as well as get properly fitted for bikes and helmets. Anyone who wishes to purchase a helmet can buy one at the rodeo for $7.
A limited number of bicycles will be available to borrow for use during the event.
