The city of Maple Valley is still recruiting volunteers to serve as alternates on its Library Advisory Board and Lake Wilderness Citizen Advisory Committee.

The application deadline has been extended to Feb. 27, a city spokeswoman said. Applications and additional information are available at www.ci.maple-valley.wa.us (under pubic notices), City Hall (22035 SE. Wax Road) and (425) 413-8800.

The library and lake board alternate positions are for terms of three years and two years, respectively. Alternates fill board vacancies that occur in ways other than term expirations of members.
