Early Literacy Parties in Spanish

Thursday, July 5, 12, 19 and 26, 10:30am

Series of free workshops for Spanish-speaking families with children newborn to age 5 to learn about Early Literacy and how to prepare their children for Kindergarten.

Batty Over Bats Science Workshop

Tuesday, July 10, 11am and repeated at 1pm

Presented by Nature Vision.

Ages 4 and older with adult.

Learn the real story of bats and why these creatures of the night are really important to our healthy ecosystem.

Registration begins June 26.

 

Lunch Bunch Story Times in the Park

Wednesday, July 11, 18 and 25, Noon

Held at Lake Wilderness Park, next to the lodge.

If it rains or exceeds 90 degrees, meet in the Maple Valley Library Meeting Room.

Ages 3 to 7 with adult.

 

Dream Catcher Art Workshop

Monday, July 16, 2pm and repeated at 3:30pm

Presented by Nature Consortium.

Ages 8 and older.

Native Americans believe the night air is filled with dreams both good and bad. When the dream catcher is hung over or near your bed it catches the bad dreams as they flow by. Create your own dream catcher in this workshop.

Registration begins July 2.

 

A Night in the Life Concert

Monday, July 30, 2pm and repeated at 3:30pm

Presented by Recess Monkey.

Family program, all ages welcome with adult.

Soar through the nighttime sky! Meet a ukulele-playing space alien and dive deep into a black hole to discover oddities and lesser-known monsters on an epic musical adventure.

Free tickets available at the Information Desk beginning July 23.
