Incident of the week:

At 6:37 p.m. on March 11 MVFLS and King County Paramedics were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 23200 block of SE Kent-Kangley Road. Upon arrival firefighters found a pickup truck had collided with a power pole. The power pole was broken, leaning and hanging by the wires above the truck. The male driver was trapped, pinned between the steering wheel and the seat. Firefighters extricated the patient, who was conscious and alert. Paramedics transported the patient to a local trauma center for treatment.
