Maple Valley-based Criativo Photography will host a Rock the Dress- Dress Drive charity event on Aug. 15 at Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island.

The event will benefit The Ruby Room, a nonprofit organization that provides formal gowns to Seattle area high school girls unable to afford their own dance attire.

High school and college girls will receive a free mini photography session to wear their dress one last time before donating them after the session to the Ruby Room.

Each girl donating a dress will also get a free 5×7 and a Facebook photo.

In order to participate, participants need to sign up to book their time with Criativo Photography.
